Andy De Paola
Born in Piacenza in 1970, he is Technical Director of Geotecna Progetti and chief of geology and geomechanics sectors.
He graduated from University of Parma and is registered in Emilia Romagna Order of Geologists.
Since 2017 he is adjunct Professor of Geomechanics - Applied Geological Sciences in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Pavia University.
He has an experience of over twenty five years in Geotecna Progetti, with specific tasks of responsibility in the planning, coordination and execution of geological, geotechnical and geomechanical studies. He has participated in the design of dams, important hydraulic constructions, infrastructural works, tunnels and hydroelectric and pumped storage plants, in Italy and abroad.
He is active member of professional associations, such as AGI (Italian Geotechnical Association) and I.S.R.M. (International Association of Rock Mechanics) and author of various technical and scientific publications in the field of geomechanics, tunnels and dams.
